Inmate cited on aggravated disorderly conduct charge at Northeast Regional Correction Facility

ST. JOHNSBURY, VT — An inmate at the Northeast Regional Correction Facility was cited on an aggravated disorderly conduct charge after allegedly throwing liquid at a correctional officer.

David Goodwin, 22, who is homeless, was lodged at the facility for an unrelated incident when the incident occurred on June 18, 2026.

Goodwin got the attention of Correctional Officer Gabriel Poll, 24.

When Poll moved closer to Goodwin, Goodwin threw an unknown liquid into the correctional officer’s face and chest area.

The Vermont State Police cited Goodwin into Caledonia County Court on June 23, 2026.
