HOPKINTON, RI — A Connecticut state trooper was arrested on a warrant at 5:14 p.m. following a motor vehicle stop on Ashaway Road.
David Casell, 73, of Groton, Connecticut, was taken into custody by Rhode Island State Police on an affidavit and arrest warrant for malicious injury to property.
The warrant originated from the Hopkinton Police Department.
Casell was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed.
He was later turned over to the Hopkinton Police Department.
