Dump truck strikes overpass in Lower Pottsgrove Township

LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA — A dump truck with a trailer struck part of the Armand Hammer overpass on June 19, 2026, causing debris to fall onto Route 422.

Police responded to the scene at approximately 11:37 a.m.

The trailer’s load dumped onto the roadway following the collision with the bridge.

A safety fence on the bridge dislodged and fell onto Route 422, where it struck a vehicle.

Ringing Hill, Sanatoga, North Coventry and Limerick fire companies responded to the scene.

Goodwill Ambulance and Hawk’s Towing also assisted with the incident.
