Erika B. Kennedy, 21, of Pennsylvania, was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles, and abuse of a care-dependent person.

The Lycoming Regional Police Department initiated an investigation on June 2 following a report from a local home health care agency concerning the unauthorized use of a vehicle belonging to one of its clients.

The investigation determined that Kennedy, an agency employee, had allegedly taken the client’s vehicle without the owner’s knowledge or permission.

A felony arrest warrant was issued for Kennedy on June 15.

Kennedy subsequently surrendered to law enforcement and was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Denise Dieter.

Bail was set at $25,000, and Kennedy was released pending future court proceedings.
