Man charged with reckless endangerment in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested after allegedly firing a shotgun at a victim and child in a residential area on June 10, 2026.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to multiple calls of gunshots near a southeast residential street.

Police located David J. Figueroa, who was in possession of a 20-gauge shotgun.

Investigators determined Figueroa had fired two 20-gauge slug rounds in the direction of the victim and their child.

An uninvolved vehicle was damaged by the slug rounds.

Figueroa is charged with two counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.

He was held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
