Man arrested on burglary charge in Cobleskill

COBLESKILL, NY — A man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a home in the town of Cobleskill on June 14, 2026.

The Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an intruder in a home on Myers Road at approximately 8:30 a.m.

The subject fled on foot into a wooded area before deputies arrived.

Responding deputies and New York State Police patrols established a perimeter along adjacent roadways.

Sheriff’s Office drone pilots deployed a drone to assist in the search.

The subject was located a short time later.

Martin J. Wolken, 37, of Cobleskill was taken into custody and charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.

Wolken was arraigned before the Schoharie County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and released to appear in the Town of Cobleskill Court at a later date.
