Man cited for violating abuse prevention order in Highgate

HIGHGATE, VT — A man was cited for violating an abuse prevention order and conditions of release after state police say he harassed a protected party online and violated his court-ordered curfew.

On June 14, 2026, at approximately 12:27 p.m., troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks were notified of a potential restraining order violation in Highgate.

Further investigation revealed that Trevor Gagner, 31, of Highgate, had made posts online harassing the protected party.

Troopers then located Gagner at an address in Highgate that was in violation of his 24-hour court-ordered curfew.

Gagner was taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.

He was released on a flash citation ordering him to appear before the Franklin County Criminal Court on June 15, 2026, at 1 p.m.
