Man cited for violating abuse prevention order in Chelsea

CHELSEA, VT — A 34-year-old man was cited for violating an abuse prevention order Thursday evening.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks received a report of a violation of an abuse prevention order at approximately 6:41 p.m. on Hillside Lane.

Through investigation, troopers determined there was probable cause that Alberto Martinez, 34, of Chelsea, violated an abuse prevention order by contacting a protected party.

Martinez was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Orange Criminal Division on June 24 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.
