Woman arrested on drug charges in West Warwick

WEST WARWICK, RI — A West Warwick woman was arrested on drug charges Friday night following an investigation by Rhode Island State Police.

Victoria Barrett, 33, of West Warwick, was taken into custody at her residence at 10:32 p.m. May 29, 2026.

Barrett was charged with possession of Schedule I to V controlled substance – less than 10 grams (fentanyl) and an outstanding arrest warrant for possession of Schedule I to V controlled substance originating from the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by Sergeant O’Donnell and other troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks.

Barrett was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions – Women’s Intake Center.

In a separate incident, Patrick Dwyer, 34, of West Greenwich, was arrested at 1:06 a.m. May 30, 2026, following a motor vehicle stop on Nooseneck Hill Road in West Greenwich.

Dwyer was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs – B.A.C unknown – first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test – first offense.

He was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
