On April 15 at approximately 12:04 p.m., Officer Defeo of the Woodbury Police Department was dispatched to a home on Bear Hill Road for a reported burglary and larceny.

The homeowner reported that an unknown individual had entered the dwelling overnight and stolen numerous power tools valued at over $4,000.

On May 29, Woodbury police served an arrest warrant on Thompson.

He was charged with burglary in the first degree and larceny in the third degree.

Thompson’s bond for the Woodbury charges was set at $25,000.

He was transported to the Waterbury Police Department to face additional separate charges, where he was processed and held on a combined $130,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court at GA 4 in Waterbury on June 12.

The case remains active as investigators work to identify a second suspect and recover the remaining stolen property.
