BARTON, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a woman on DUI and child cruelty charges following a single-vehicle crash May 30, 2026.
Troopers responded to the intersection of Main Street and Washington Lane at 8:52 p.m.
Police observed a vehicle in the roadway with severe damage and identified the operator as Kendra Crowe, 23, of Coventry.
After further investigation, troopers observed signs of impairment from Crowe.
She was arrested and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing.
Two juveniles, ages 1 and 3, both of Coventry, were passengers in the vehicle.
Crowe was charged with DUI, negligent operation and two counts of cruelty to a child.
She was released on a citation to appear in court.
