COHOES, NY — A 22-year-old man was arrested Thursday following the execution of a search warrant at a Columbia Street residence.
Oliver Deno, of Cohoes, was taken into custody without incident at approximately 1 p.m. after police responded to a neighbor dispute complaint in which a resident allegedly displayed a long gun.
During the search of 204 Columbia Street, detectives recovered a Kel Tec Sub 2000 .40 caliber S&W, a FN 15 multi-caliber assault weapon, two 45-round capacity magazines, three 30-round capacity magazines and body armor.
Deno was charged with five counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree – ammunition feeding device, a class D felony; two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony; and one count of unlawful purchase of body armor – first offense, a class A misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Cohoes City Court before Judge Knowles and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bail bond.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
