Man arrested on retail theft charge in Huntingdon Valley

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — A 37-year-old Pennsylvania man has been arrested in connection with a theft at a store on Welsh Road.

Shawn F. Sperry was charged with retail theft, theft by unlawful taking of movable property, receiving stolen property and possession of an instrument of crime with intent.

Police said the theft occurred on Jan. 30, 2026, when a suspect entered a store at 650 Welsh Road and stole several products.

The stolen items were valued at more than $2,000, according to authorities.

Through investigation, Sperry was positively identified as the suspect involved in the theft, police said.

An arrest warrant was issued for Sperry and he was arraigned on May 8, 2026.
