Man arrested on drug, threat charges in Great Valley

GREAT VALLEY, NY — A man was arrested on drug and threat charges following a traffic stop early Friday morning.

Frank J. Felt, 53, of Allegany was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory at 2:47 a.m.

Felt was stopped on Route 417 in the Town of Great Valley due to a vehicle and traffic law infraction.

Following an investigation, K9 Cash was deployed for a vehicle sniff.

K9 Cash positively indicated on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Deputies located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and a pipe with residue during a search of the vehicle.

While in custody and being transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Felt made multiple threats to kill law enforcement.

Felt was released on an appearance ticket and a uniform traffic ticket.

He was charged with making a terroristic threat, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, resisting arrest and no/inadequate headlight.

Felt is due in the Town of Great Valley Court at a later date.
