GRANBY, CT — A juvenile was transported to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center following a drowning incident at a pool facility.
The Granby Police Department received a report of a drowning at approximately 2:27 p.m. on June 10 at High Meadow, located at 311 North Granby Road.
A Simsbury Police officer who was working a private detail at High Meadow responded to the pool area and began providing patient care.
The juvenile’s name is not being released at this time.
Granby Ambulance transported the patient to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Numerous juveniles at the scene were later overcome with emotions.
Ambulances from Granby, Windsor Locks, Simsbury and Suffield responded to assist.
The Granby Police Department advised that individuals needing support following the incident can call 211 to connect with crisis support services and community resources.
