Four arrested in Warwick

WARWICK, RI — Rhode Island State Police arrested four people on various charges following traffic stops and a crash on Route 95 between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Tiago Medeiros, 41, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, was arrested at 9 p.m. Wednesday on charges of driving under the influence, BAC unknown, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 95.

Medeiros was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a notice to appear in Third District Court.

Sheena Civale, 44, of West Warwick, was arrested at midnight Thursday on five counts of possession of a Schedule I to V controlled substance, 10 grams or less.

The charges involved lorazepam, amphetamine, alprazolam, methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 95.

Civale was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a notice to appear in Third District Court.

Lana Messina, 35, of Greenville, North Carolina, was arrested at 1 a.m. Thursday on a charge of driving under the influence of liquor, BAC 0.15 or greater, first offense.

Her blood alcohol content measured 0.193 percent in phase one and 0.187 percent in phase two.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 95.

Messina was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a notice to appear in Third District Court.

Sopheap Vong, 43, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, was arrested at 6 a.m. Thursday on a Third District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment.

The original charge was driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, originating from the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest resulted from troopers responding to a motor vehicle crash on Route 95.

Vong was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court.
