HIGHGATE, VT — A Montpelier woman was arrested on a DUI charge early Saturday morning after leaving and returning to the scene of an incident.
Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks were notified of an incident on Old Dock Road at approximately 1:21 a.m. on June 7, 2026.
During the investigation, troopers learned that Nicole Marcheterre, 40, of Montpelier, had left the scene in a motor vehicle.
Marcheterre returned to the scene while troopers were still conducting their investigation.
After an investigation, Marcheterre was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
Marcheterre was transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.
She was issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Criminal Court on June 23, 2026, at 8 a.m.
