WILLIAMSPORT, PA — Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Thursday afternoon in the city’s west end.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of West 4th Street at approximately 3:45 p.m. for a report of multiple shots fired.
Upon arrival, police located multiple shell casings in the area of Seth Street and Cemetery Street.
During the investigation, officers made contact with residents in the 400 block of Allen Street who reported that their residence had been struck by gunfire.
Witnesses reported observing approximately three to five black males fleeing the area immediately following the incident.
Two adult males have been detained in connection with the investigation.
The scene is currently being processed and the investigation remains ongoing.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident and there is no known threat to the public.
The Williamsport Police is asking residents in the surrounding area to review any home security camera footage for potential evidence related to this incident.
