Shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 injured in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, PA — One person is dead and two others injured following a shooting at the intersection of North Jay and East North Streets.

The Allentown Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 10:01 p.m. Saturday.

Officers discovered three victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds upon arrival.

Allentown Police and Allentown EMS rendered medical aid, and all three victims were transported to area hospitals.

One victim later died from their injuries.

The name of the deceased victim is being withheld by the coroner pending notification to the family.

The incident is being investigated by the Allentown Police Department, the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
