COLCHESTER, VT — A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 northbound June 6, 2026.
Troopers with the Vermont State Police – Williston were notified of the crash near exit 16 at 10:26 p.m.
Upon arrival, troopers determined the occupants had left the scene on foot.
Minutes later, Colchester Police advised they had located the occupants on Blakely Road.
Troopers arrived and made contact with all occupants from the vehicle.
Throughout the interaction, the operator, Jordain Williams, 28, of Colchester, was displaying signs of impairment, police said.
After investigation, Williams was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
Williams refused a breath test, according to police.
Williams was transported to the Williston State Police Barracks for processing and was issued a citation and released.
