WILTON, NY — State Police arrested two men on assault charges following a reported disturbance on May 31, 2026.
Joseph V. Bryant, 25, of Gansevoort, and Jared O. Thomas, 25, of Gansevoort, were each charged with assault in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Troopers responded to the area of Woodlake Drive at about 3:54 a.m. for reports of a disturbance.
The investigation determined that the victim had been hired to drive Bryant and Thomas from Caroline Street in Saratoga Springs to a residence in Wilton.
On arrival at the requested location, a verbal altercation occurred.
The victim exited the vehicle, and Bryant and Thomas followed them, striking them multiple times, causing physical injury.
The victim was transported to Saratoga Hospital for evaluation.
Bryant and Thomas were located nearby and arrested.
They were both transported to State Police Wilton for processing, issued appearance tickets returnable to Wilton Town Court on June 23, 2026, and then released.
