TANNERSVILLE, PA — A 31-year-old man has been charged with criminal mischief after allegedly cutting pickleball and tennis nets at two local parks.
Saif Kaleem, of Tannersville, was charged May 15, 2026, by officers of the Pocono Township Police Department.
Police were informed of vandalism at TLC Park and Mountain View Park on May 15, 2026.
Video footage from May 12, 2026, captured a male cutting one pickleball net at TLC Park before leaving in a white Hyundai Tucson.
On May 14, 2026, the same vehicle was captured on video entering Mountain View Park at 9 p.m.
The park closes at 8 p.m., according to posted signage.
The same male from the TLC Park incident was seen exiting the vehicle and entering the pickleball court.
Police posted images on Crimewatch requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male.
Community members informed police the male had been seen at TLC Park on multiple occasions prior to the incident.
Officers conducted a follow-up at Kaleem’s address and made contact with him.
Kaleem matched the description of the male from the video footage, according to police.
Kaleem admitted to having a recent pickleball injury at Mountain View Park.
He stated he cut the pickleball net at TLC Park, all three pickleball nets at Mountain View Park and the tennis court net at Mountain View Park, police said.
Kaleem told police he cut all of the nets because his summer was ruined.
Kaleem was charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and trespassing.
