MERCHANTVILLE, NJ — Pennsauken Fire Department crews responded on May 19 to the 200 block of Woodlawn Avenue in Merchantville for a reported fire at a private dwelling.
Engine Company 113, the first-due engine, arrived to find fire showing from multiple windows on Division 1 with fire extending within the home.
Engine Company 113 established the primary water supply and, with assistance from members of Engine 129, placed two handlines in service.
Tower Ladder 11 conducted the primary search.
Deputy 11 assumed command and transmitted the all hands signal, making special calls for additional companies because of weather conditions and hoarding conditions inside the dwelling.
Pennsauken Fire Department units operating at the scene included Engine Company 113, Tower Ladder 11, Cascade 11, EMS Supervisor 11, BLS 11A, BLS 11D, Deputy 11 and Chief 11.
