MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — A Mount Laurel man has been charged with harassment and bias intimidation following an investigation into an alleged incident Monday evening in the 3000 block of Saxony Drive, police said.
Officers responded at about 6:26 p.m. Monday to a reported dispute related to a prior juvenile incident, according to the Mount Laurel Police Department.
Police said officers separated the parties involved and conducted an initial investigation.
Both parents involved accused each other of wrongdoing, but neither chose to pursue criminal complaints at that time, police said.
During follow-up investigation, detectives reviewed video footage submitted to the department on May 20, police said.
The footage showed Thomas Diiorio, 40, of Mount Laurel, confronting a female victim during the incident, according to police.
As a result of the investigation, criminal complaints were filed charging Diiorio with harassment and bias intimidation, police said.
The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office approved the charges, according to police.
Diiorio was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Burlington County Jail pending judicial proceedings, police said.
