Woman arrested on fraudulent check charges in North Kingstown

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A Charlestown woman was arrested on fraudulent check charges Saturday afternoon at the state police barracks.

Heather Beauchemin, 51, of Charlestown, turned herself in to troopers at the Wickford Barracks at 2:15 p.m. May 17, 2026.

She was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant for two counts of fraudulent checks over $1,500.

The charges stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Wickford Barracks.

Beauchemin was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

She was released with a future Fourth District Court date.
