SPRINGFIELD, VT — A Massachusetts man wanted on a homicide warrant was arrested Wednesday afternoon on Central Street.
Daniel Medina, 22, of Holyoke, Massachusetts, was detained in the area of Central Street and Church Street at 2:55 p.m. May 7, according to the Springfield Police Department.
The arrest was conducted by multiple agencies including the U.S. Marshals Vermont District, Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, Holyoke Police Department, Vermont State Police, Vermont Fish & Wildlife and Weathersfield Police Department.
Outside agency personnel detained Medina and turned him over to Springfield police for fugitive proceedings.
Medina was held at Southern State Correctional Facility without bail.
He was scheduled to appear in Superior Court in White River Junction at 12:30 p.m. May 8.
