Man arrested on drug charges in Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — A 64-year-old man was arrested on drug charges May 7, 2026, after police observed him attempting to conceal narcotics on the steps of City Green.

Officers were conducting proactive foot patrol around 77 State Street in response to increased complaints of drug dealing and quality of life issues when they observed Gregorio Gonzalez-Feliciano sitting on the steps attempting to conceal narcotics, according to the Meriden Police Department.

As officers approached, Gonzalez-Feliciano threw a white rock substance and concealed his lap with his arms and head, police said.

A search incidental to arrest produced one crack pipe, one pipe packing tool and brass wool, according to police.

Officers located several small white rock substance pieces on the steps.

Gonzalez-Feliciano was transported to the Meriden Police Department, where he was processed and charged with use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

He was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.
