NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police arrested a New York man on an illegal dumping charge after receiving multiple reports of discarded waste along Valley Service Road.
Darwin Romero, 45, of Middle Village, New York, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with illegal dumping of bulk/hazardous waste in violation of Connecticut General Statutes 22a-250(d).
Police said Romero allegedly dumped a boat in the area.
The North Haven Police Department said it has received multiple reports of illegal dumping along Valley Service Road, including trash, furniture, construction debris and other waste discarded on public or private property.
Police said officers will continue increased patrols and follow up on complaints regarding illegal dumping.
