WESTBROOK, ME — The Westbrook Police Department and Westbrook Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Bridgton Road (Route 302) near the Windham town line at approximately 8:32 a.m. May 7, 2026.
A witness reported observing an eastbound 2014 Subaru Crosstrek cross the center line and collide head-on with a westbound Town of Windham school bus.
Westbrook Fire personnel extricated the driver and sole occupant of the Subaru, a 25-year-old woman from Raymond, and transported her to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver and sole occupant of the school bus, a 72-year-old man from Raymond, was also transported as a precaution.
Bridgton Road remains closed while members of the Westbrook Police Department, Windham Police Department and the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division investigate and reconstruct the crash.
Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
