NORTH HAVEN, CT — A student was struck by a vehicle this morning while boarding a stopped school bus, according to the North Haven Police Department.
The child sustained injuries that are not life-threatening and is expected to recover.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officers.
Police issued the driver an infraction for passing a standing school bus.
Connecticut law requires motorists to stop for school buses displaying flashing red lights and extended stop arms.
