MILFORD, NY — A Cooperstown man faces multiple charges after allegedly crashing into a parked vehicle and a garage while intoxicated.
Alexander T. Woeppel, 24, of Cooperstown, was arrested Saturday following a motor vehicle accident investigation by the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies located Woeppel at the scene of the accident and determined he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Investigators determined Woeppel initially crashed into a parked vehicle before continuing on and crashing into a private garage.
Woeppel was charged with two counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree, driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with .08 of 1% or more alcohol in blood, reckless driving, moved from lane unsafely, driving on shoulder, failed to keep right and open container in motor vehicle.
He was processed and released with uniform traffic tickets and appearance tickets.
Woeppel is scheduled to appear in Milford Town Court at a later date.
