HARTFORD, CT — A Bloomfield man faces multiple charges after allegedly attacking and attempting to sexually assault a juvenile on May 4, 2026.
Hartford Police patrol officers were dispatched to an undisclosed location in the city at approximately 2:56 p.m. on a report of a possible kidnapping.
Officers determined that a suspect had attacked a juvenile victim and attempted to sexually assault them.
The victim struggled with the suspect, causing him to stop the assault.
The suspect then stole the victim’s bag and headphones.
Bystanders intervened, detaining the suspect until officers arrived on scene.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The victim did not report any injuries.
Kejon McLemore, 33, of Bloomfield, was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a child, unlawful restraint 1st degree, sexual assault 4th degree, reckless endangerment 2nd degree, strangulation 2nd degree, assault 3rd degree, robbery 3rd degree, breach of peace 2nd degree and interfering with police.
