CLARKSON, NY — A man faces multiple felony charges following an overnight crime spree involving two stolen vehicles.
On May 3, 2026, at 10:58 p.m., deputies were called to the 9600 block of West Ridge Road.
The caller reported a male, later identified as Jason Reed, was in her driveway acting suspiciously.
When deputies arrived, Reed left in a gray sedan before deputies could speak with him.
At 11:20 p.m., deputies located Reed in the same sedan, parked on West Ridge Road.
As deputies approached, Reed sped off, leading to a short pursuit before deputies canceled in the interest of public safety.
During the pursuit, deputies obtained the license plate of the vehicle and notified the owner, who confirmed the vehicle was stolen.
At 1:16 a.m., deputies received a call for a male attempting to break into a truck on Lifetime Way.
The male left the area in a white pickup truck prior to the deputies arriving.
Deputies located the truck abandoned nearby with Reed walking in the area and took him into custody.
Deputies confirmed the truck was stolen earlier in the night and also recovered the gray sedan.
Jason S. Reed, 47, of Albion, is charged with two counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a class D felony; unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree, a class B felony; criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor; reckless driving, an unclassified misdemeanor; and traffic citations related to the pursuit.
Deputies transported Reed to Monroe County CAP court on the morning of May 4, 2026, for arraignment.
Following arraignment, Reed was released to pre-trial services.
