BETHLEHEM, PA — Police are investigating an altercation between groups of juveniles at Yosko Park that led to charges against two adults and two juveniles.
Officers received information about a potential planned fight at the park and began monitoring the area using city camera systems on May 4, 2026.
At approximately 6:45 p.m., officers observed a physical altercation involving multiple juveniles.
During the incident, a juvenile male was observed handling a backpack that appeared to contain a firearm.
The juvenile was later seen removing an item from the backpack and placing it in his waistband before approaching the altercation.
As officers responded to the scene, the item was returned to the backpack.
Upon arrival, officers encountered an adult female in possession of the backpack and detained her as part of the investigation.
A large crowd gathered in and around the park and along East 6th Street.
Members of the crowd began yelling at officers and encroaching on the investigation.
Officers issued repeated commands for the crowd to move back and took steps to maintain scene safety.
The crowd ultimately complied, and the situation was brought under control.
A second adult female was taken into custody for obstruction-related offenses and later released pending the issuance of a summons.
The backpack was secured and later searched pursuant to a warrant.
Detectives recovered a replica airsoft pistol which was identical to a Glock Gen4 17.
No functional firearm was located.
Charges are pending following review and consultation with the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office.
