NEWARK, NJ — Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a woman who stole a package from the steps of a home on Sunday, May 3, 2026.
At approximately 2:44 p.m., the female suspect was captured on surveillance video removing the package from a home in the 40 block of Smith Street.
The suspect, who has a light complexion, placed the package in a black bag and fled south on Smith Street.
She was wearing black sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt with pink bunnies on the back, and black sweatpants.
