EAST STROUDSBURG, PA — A Pennsylvania man turned himself in to authorities Friday after being wanted on felony assault charges stemming from a stabbing incident earlier this week.
Quincy Ellis Washington, 35, of Pennsylvania, accompanied by his attorney, surrendered at Magisterial District Judge Wolbert’s office on May 1 at 1 p.m.
Washington was arraigned and released on unsecured bail.
Police were dispatched to 176 Grove Street in East Stroudsburg on April 28 at 1:23 a.m. for a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers found a victim with a stab wound to his right shoulder.
The victim told police that after returning home from a bar with several people, an argument began between him and Washington.
The argument turned physical and the victim was stabbed in the right shoulder with a folding knife by Washington, according to police.
The physical altercation continued until the victim pushed Washington out of the house and Washington left the scene, police said.
A search of the area was unable to locate Washington.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
A felony arrest warrant was issued for Washington on April 28 by Magisterial District Judge Wolbert.
