HOWELL, NJ — A detached garage was destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning on Easy Street.
Howell Police dispatchers received a 911 call at approximately 5:38 a.m. April 30 reporting a structure fire at 137 Easy Street.
A patrol officer arrived on scene minutes after the call was received and safely evacuated residents from the main house.
The nearby detached garage was fully engulfed in flames and reported to contain only vehicles and other property.
Firefighters from Ramtown were first on scene and were later joined by crews from Squankum, Southard, Freewood Acres and South Wall fire departments to assist in extinguishing the fire.
Howell Police EMS responded as a safety precaution.
The Howell Township Fire Bureau responded to investigate the origin of the fire, which is unknown at this time.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
