THETFORD, VT — A Vershire woman was arrested on multiple charges including fugitive from justice and drug possession April 22.
Jessica Southworth, 41, of Vershire, was taken into custody by state troopers on Vermont Route 113 at 11:19 a.m.
Troopers were on routine patrol when they located Southworth, who was wanted on a warrant out of New Hampshire and had additional Vermont charges pending.
Southworth resisted arrest during the apprehension, according to police.
She was charged with fugitive from justice, resisting arrest, two counts of possession of fentanyl and possession of methamphetamine.
Southworth was held without bail at Northeast Correctional Facility.
She was lodged at Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division at 4 p.m. April 22.
