Man arrested on child exploitation charges in Clay

CLAY, NY — New York State Police arrested a 21-year-old man on child sexual exploitation charges April 22, 2026.

Caleb S. Wiggins, of Clay, faces two counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony, and one count of possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.

The charges stem from an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation related to the transmission of child sexual exploitation material via the internet.

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation by members of the State Police Computer Crime Unit – Troop D, the Troop D Bureau of Criminal Investigation – North Syracuse, the NYSP ICAC Unit in Albany and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Wiggins is scheduled to be arraigned in the Town of Clay Court at 5 p.m.
