TURNER, ME — The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office has charged two juvenile males following an investigation into a series of burglaries and thefts spanning multiple jurisdictions.
The investigation involved several businesses, including Northeastern Firearms, G3 Firearms, and Vacationland Cannabis in Turner, as well as First Due Firearms in Sabattus.
Authorities also linked the suspects to the theft of three vehicles reported in Portland, Westbrook, and Auburn.
Those vehicles were later recovered by the Westbrook Police Department and the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.
On April 2, a 16-year-old male was taken into custody by the Portland Police Department on a warrant issued by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the case.
A second suspect, a 17-year-old male, was arrested on April 20 by the Portland Police Department on a separate warrant obtained by the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation stems from a series of commercial burglaries, attempted burglaries, stolen vehicle incidents, and related offenses that occurred throughout March.
Investigators relied on surveillance footage, forensic and digital evidence, and coordinated efforts among multiple law enforcement agencies to identify and apprehend the suspects.
Due to the suspects’ juvenile status, no additional identifying information will be released at this time.
