HARTFORD, CT — Two men were arrested after police recovered four firearms and approximately six pounds of marijuana during an investigation on Seymour Street.
Members of the Street Crimes Unit observed a large group loitering around a vehicle parked in the roadway in front of 184 Seymour Street on April 13, 2026.
Multiple occupants exited the vehicle and fled on foot as officers approached.
Two suspects were apprehended after foot pursuits without incident.
Officers observed multiple firearms in plain view inside the vehicle.
A search conducted incident to arrest resulted in the recovery of four firearms with multiple high-capacity magazines, approximately six pounds of packaged marijuana and $1,010 in U.S. currency.
One firearm was confirmed stolen out of Hartford, and another had an obliterated serial number and was equipped with an auto-sear.
Tyrese Garcia, 20, of West Hartford, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a high capacity magazine, possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell and weapons in a motor vehicle.
Nathan Rodriguez, 18, of Hartford, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a high capacity magazine, possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell and weapons in a motor vehicle.
