Man arrested on DUI charge in North Kingstown

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A Central Falls man was arrested on drunken driving charges Sunday afternoon after troopers responded to a disabled vehicle on Route 138.

Hector A. Rodriguez Taques, 43, of Central Falls, was arrested at 3:38 p.m. April 19, 2026, according to Rhode Island State Police.

Rodriguez Taques was charged with driving under the influence of liquor with a blood alcohol content of .15 or greater, first offense, and driving without a license, third offense.

Breath tests showed Rodriguez Taques had a blood alcohol content of 0.152 percent in the first phase and 0.154 percent in the second phase.

He was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

Rodriguez Taques was released into the custody of a responsible adult and is scheduled to appear in Third District Court at a later date.
