ARLINGTON, VT — A Sunderland man faces his second DUI charge following a single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 7A.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks responded to the crash near the intersection of Vermont Route 7A and Dunham Road at approximately 9:19 p.m. on March 23, 2026.
The operator was identified as Alberto L. Leonguiracocha, 28, of Sunderland.
Troopers observed multiple indicators of impairment while speaking with Leonguiracocha.
Leonguiracocha was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
While at the medical center, Leonguiracocha provided an evidentiary blood sample.
Blood analysis results received on April 9, 2026, indicated a blood alcohol concentration of 0.165 percent.
Leonguiracocha was arrested and released with a citation to appear in Bennington County Superior Court on May 4, 2026.
He is charged with DUI #2.
