Man arrested on domestic violence charges in Marcy

MARCY, NY — A man was arrested following a physical domestic dispute early Tuesday morning.

Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched to Carey Road at around 2:20 a.m. on April 20, 2026, for a report of a domestic incident in progress, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.

Following an investigation, deputies determined that Jonathan Morse, 37, of Marcy, had struck an adult victim in the back of the head in the presence of a 16-year-old child.

Morse was charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor, and one count of harassment in the second degree, a violation.

Morse was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing.

He was held at the Oneida County Jail pending arraignment in CAP Court.

Child Protective Services were contacted on behalf of the child.
