Man arrested on DUI charge in East Greenwich

EAST GREENWICH, RI — State Police arrested a 20-year-old man on a drunken driving charge Saturday night following reports of an erratic driver.

Troopers arrested Andrew Glantz, of Warwick, at 11:27 p.m. April 18, 2026, and charged him with driving under the influence of liquor with a blood alcohol content of .15 or greater, first offense.

The arrest followed an E-911 call reporting an erratic operator on Route 4 in East Greenwich.

Glantz was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

He was released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third District Court date.

In a separate incident early Sunday morning, troopers arrested Alexander Gagnon, 40, of Warwick, at 2:24 a.m. April 19, 2026, following a motor vehicle stop on Post Road in Warwick.

Gagnon was charged with driving under the influence of liquor or drugs with blood alcohol content unknown, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.

He was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

Gagnon was released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third District Court date.
