HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Police have charged a man with attempted murder after a pedestrian was intentionally struck by a vehicle earlier this month.
The Haddon Township Police Department responded to the area of Atlantic Avenue and Chestnut Street at approximately 12:46 a.m. on April 14, 2026, for a reported pedestrian motor vehicle crash.
Additional 911 calls reported a male screaming for help.
Officers located an adult male who had been struck by a vehicle and sustained multiple broken bones.
The suspect vehicle fled the scene.
Through an extensive investigation, detectives determined the victim was intentionally struck and identified the vehicle and driver as Aidan Caceres, 23, of Somerdale.
Caceres was taken into custody on April 17, 2026.
He was charged with attempted murder, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash resulting in serious bodily injury, and assault by auto resulting in serious bodily injury.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
