ROME, NY — A Rome woman has been arrested following a domestic incident early Friday morning.

Deputies responded to a welfare check on Turin Road at about 3:34 a.m. April 16, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol.

The investigation revealed that Delilah M. Snyder, 29, of Rome, left her four children, who ranged from 4 to 10 years of age, home alone while she visited a neighbor.

One of the children left the residence and found a deputy sheriff parked in a patrol car nearby and reported that their mother had left them home alone.

Snyder was charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a Class-A misdemeanor.

She was turned over to the Oneida Correctional Facility to await arraignment at Oneida County CAP Court.

The children were turned over to an adult relative at the scene.
