Two stabbed in Albany

ALBANY, NY — Albany police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred Wednesday evening in the area of South Pearl Street and Morton Avenue.

On Wednesday around 11 p.m., a 42-year-old male walked into the Albany Fire Department’s Engine 5 quarters with a stab wound to his arm, while a 38-year-old male walked into South Station lobby with a stab wound to his abdomen.

The two victims were treated for their injuries and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At the time of reporting, both victims declined to provide further information in regard to the incident.

Through further investigation, it was determined that a group of individuals were involved in a physical altercation at the bus stop in the area of South Pearl Street and Morton Avenue.

During the altercation a male produced a knife and stabbed the two victims.
