WYNCOTE, PA — Seven people were arrested Sunday after police responded to a retail theft in progress at a Wawa store on Limekiln Pike.
Cheltenham Township police stopped a white Nissan Sentra attempting to leave the store at 8250 Limekiln Pike at about 10:30 a.m. April 13, 2026.
The vehicle contained seven occupants ranging in age from 15 to 21, including three juveniles.
During the stop, officers observed one occupant attempting to hide a firearm under a seat.
All occupants were removed from the vehicle and taken into custody without incident or force.
The vehicle was impounded while police obtained a search warrant.
A search of the vehicle revealed three loaded handguns without serial numbers, commonly referred to as ghost guns.
Two of the handguns had been illegally modified to fire fully automatic, police said.
Officers also found a large quantity of marijuana, vehicle key fob programming equipment and various merchandise stolen from Wawa.
The case remains under investigation by Cheltenham detectives.
