RICHFIELD, NY — A 29-year-old woman died after a single-vehicle crash on County Highway 22 on April 10, 2026.
New York State Police at Richfield Springs responded to the crash around 9:30 p.m. on County Highway 22, just south of Butternut Road.
An investigation determined that Ashley M. Faubert, of Ilion, was traveling south on County Road 22 when she left the roadway and struck a tree.
Residents in the area who heard the crash attempted to assist the driver.
One neighbor who is an emergency medical technician initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Life-saving measures were continued by members of Otsego County EMS.
Faubert, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported by Otsego County Ambulance to Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, where she was pronounced deceased.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
